Hidden gem in Vauxhall, London. We had dinner here in August with my family and friend party of 8. Hosts were super accommodating. I had Lamb Sheppard pie and it was excellent. Very tasty food and great atmosphere. Great tea and desert selection. Thank you for great food and excellent service!Food: 5/5
Recommended by my friend and give a try. It definitely out of my surprise, which will be the best tea house I have had in London. I personally prefer the tea house with old-style, warm and staying like a house. I would like to try every dessert just my stomach doesn’t allow. We ordered cream tea with scone, and you can choose every type of tea listed in the menu. I was surprised that they provide a variety of selections of tea and cakes. It has been my forever re-visit list. The whole atmosphere here is brilliant, cozy, and lovely, including the costumers here, we did chat with people sitting nearby:D
Found this place by coincidence. Entered it to see its interior. Very eclectic, garage sale type of furnishings. Noticed several locals were having late breakfast, early lunch or just some tea. We decided to try it. I sat in a chair that had the springs poking through the material. Oh well. Some chairs are perfect. The fantastic tea we had made up for it. I had number 5 the kings tea. This huge pot of tea with a crocheted cover was placed in front of me. Fantastic black tea. This place has entertainment periodically as I have posted with pictures. I suggest you try it.
Hidden gem tuck away in Vauxhall. Beautiful location just off the Vauxhall Pleasure Garden. The staff are very friendly. The place is like going to the home of an eccentric person with a small stage for plays. Lots of interesting antiques, pictures. And a piano. Lots of comfy sofas and coffee tables. A huge range of tempting cakes. And a huge range to teas including ones from China that I have never heard of. Truly exciting discovery! we went for afternoon tea set with just one scone and a choice of their classic tea. I love it!! Just enough with delicious strawberry jam and cream. Delicious! Can’t wait to go back. Outside sitting as well. Wheelchair accessibility: One of my friends was in a wheelchair. No problem at all. Staff was helpful to get him to our table.
Not just a tea room. They produce tea to the table that delights the taste buds and awakens your spirit. Cakes are just strewn around the place tempting at a glance. The atmosphere is friendly, loving , caring and appreciative. A Narnia within Vauxhall. Day and night there are people like you having fun and talking their worries away. The staff are full of smiles and always happy to help with tea, juice or beer. They have it all.
Wonderful café, can sit outside in the summer and very cosy interior with board games for the winter. I really liked their philosophy. I had the cream tea, it was lovely though the scones were slightly too sweet for me. Would definitely go back!Food: 4/5
Great tea with an great atmosphere! The host is very nice and has an good sense of humor. And their cakes are very good, some say too good even… haha P.S no coffee being served here, and also there is usually an chess puzzle that can be solved inside on the wall. Free piece of cake if you win we did. Can’t recommend enough! Only issue is the price is quite high, keep in in mind.
We discovered this hidden gem en-route to another breakfast establishment and decided to give it a try. Plenty of options on the menu for tea as well as breakfast and brunch items. I ordered porridge which was deliciously sweet with fresh fruit and nuts. My husband ordered the full English breakfast which was absolutely awesome. The atmosphere is such that one can linger over tea and converse at length whist watching the cat make his morning rounds. Absolutely delightful. We enjoyed it so much we returned for afternoon tea the next day before departing for Heathrow. Absolutely recommend. Kid-friendliness: They have a cat, and an assortment of games inside, also located across from a park
Lovely tea house that you can have nice English and Scottish breakfasts, different kind of tea and cakes. I loved the classical old style decoration with old chairs, porcelain tea cups and classical music at the background. Full English breakfast and smoked salmon scramble were tasty.Food: 4/5
Chill and lay back shop. Nicely decorated. Good environment. Extensive tea menu. Only went for tea and cake. Disappointed with the cake as it was bitter. No refund or replacement for the cake.Food: 2/5
