My husband and I have been a couple of times in last few months and would highly recommend this place.  The staff are friendly and welcoming, there is a great choice on the menu and specials boards to suit all palettes, the food is top quality and service first class... Well done to all

Having ate at the Rainbow in Gwernymynydd whilst it was owned by the same people, I can gladly say that the Tavern is more of the same! Food is excellent, especially the dessert I had as a pastry chef I am usually very critical Nice atmosphere, nice staff, nice furniture! One thing I would say is the confit duck leg starter was so large, my girlfriend struggled to them eat half of her main course! Though they were both really good dishes. I thoroughly enjoyed the evening and hope to eat there again soon!

We have eaten here many times since the chef and his team moved here from the Rainbow.  We have never been disappointed and the food and service have been unfailingly excellent. It deservedly enjoys a high reputation locally.

Have visited four times in the last few months and have been more than satisfied with the food and service. It is well placed for lunch before going to  Theatr Clwyd. A good experience every time,

Excellent food at a reasonable price. Service, menus, and beverage choices could be a little more polished.
