Absolutely wonderful food and hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. Food came to the table together and hot. What we liked most was the food was proportional and a nice size with shared veg etc. However for those who may of had a slightly bigger appetite than others, it was asked if we would like more chips and veg. That in my opinion is a good idea as it less waste rather than sending out a massive plate of food and people unable to finish leaving lots. A good restaurant with positive food distribution which is of high quality. Looking forward to returning. Vegetarian options: If not on menu they will accommodate to make an alternative. Parking: Lots of parking available Wheelchair accessibility: Roll over threshold available and ramped area at front access Dietary restrictions: Vegan and vegetarian can be accommodated
This is a lovely family owned country pub. It is clearly popular with the locals, which I always think is a good sign. We were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for the landlord and his staff. The food was really delicious and morish. I had plaice for main followed by a banana split. My friend had cottage pie followed by an Eton mess. Both of us really enjoyed the food and the ambience within the pub. This pub is an absolute gem well worth visiting for a meal.
We had our anniversary dinner at The Cherry Pie last night. This is a lovely little restaurant with friendly owners. Our meal was delicious. We had 3 courses followed by coffee. They had a good choice of bottled beer and wines and spirits as well as a few on draught. The menu is varied with something to please everyone. I would definitely recommend this lovely place and we will be going there again. Friendly staff, great food in a beautiful building. What more could you want.
Had a 2 night breakaway recently in a log cabin in North Wales. Visited this little gem of a place the Saturday afternoon for food & drinks. Was made to feel very welcome by Simon & his staff proper home cooked tasty pub grub. Highly recommend a visit if you're ever in the area as we will be again Atmosphere: 5/5
Would highly recommend, the food was absolutely amazing, and service was like nothing I’ve ever experienced before, the owner was so attentive and friendly. Great value for money, and the homemade flavoured gins left me wanting more. Can’t wait to visit again.

Fantastic home cooked food. A great menu with really good vegetarian options. Lovely, welcoming atmosphere- the staff can't do enough for you. Definitely worth a visit Vegetarian options: A lovely choice - usually you only 2 or 3 diahes to choose from but here there are 8 or more. Kid-friendliness: Very welcoming and good choice of food.
Extended family get-together. Great reception and service. Tasty food at good value. Attentive to individual requests. Child-friendly. I am sure that we will be back. Thankyou.
Just been to this amazing place for a 40th the lovely owners and staff could not do enough for our party of 9.This has to be the best place ive ever been. The food was amazing the inn is secluded in lovely surroundings highly recomended give it a go you wont regret it .thanks guys colin & jenny.
Simon is the host with the most and his wife's cooking is amazing. It's home comfort away from home. Nothing is ever too much trouble
