"The Cross Foxes Inn was built by the Williams family, the 18th century owners of the Penbedw estate. The inn served not only as a public house, but also as a butcher, the ancient meat hooks are stil present above the bar. The pub served as a post office until the mid 1990's, when the service moved to the Memorial Hall. Now a thriving hub of the community, a warm welcome is assured to all who visit. Food is servedThurs, Fri and Sat evenings after 6pm until 9pm, booking required, Sunday lunch 1pm to 4pm, families and dogs welcome. We are closed Mondays."

The food was poor, mashed potato was dry and roast potatoes also dry. Stuffing was very dry and hard. Overall not a good meal and not an enjoyable experience. The owner was bordering on rude and did not appear interested at all, her husband however was much more pleasant.
We had Sunday lunch here today as a family of 5.... Absolutely delicious and highly recommended....Lovely cosy pub and lovely staff.... Jackie and Paul, from Holywell...
Lovely pub. Great friendly staff and a very welcoming atmosphere.
Great pub , if you had to imagine your perfect little country pub in your mind the Cross Foxes would tick every single box and more . perfect setting ,perfect beer , perfect licensee's. Simply loved it.
Janet and Tim are wonderful hosts. Always helpful and always go the extra mile to try to make sure everyone is happy . Food is good, pub grub , this is the epitome of a village pub with emphasis on supporting the community.
Excellent roast dinners and fab puddings. Have been here about 5 times now and never disappointed. Good home cooked food, would highly recommend.
I had the most delicious vegetarian Sunday roast dinner. The nut roast was very tasty and alongside it I had mash, roast parsnips, roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese, broccoli, carrots and a very large Yorkshire pudding. I did manage a dessert of sticky toffee pudding and cream. My friends enjoyed their meat roasts and desserts and I'll definitely call in again. Well done Chef!
Lovely friendly pub in a beautiful village. Best Sunday roast in the area, piping hot and home made. Sticky toffee pudding was fab too. Da iawn i chi gyd!
