The Talbot in Biddulph is a country pub & restaurant oozing rural charm and rustic character. Our picturesque surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for savouring the hearty, seasonal pub-food on our menu, and the carefully nurtured cask ales and fine wines gracing our bar. The Talbot Arms was first mentioned in 1818, when Ralph Lowe was the publican, though it is thought our history could predate even this time. Close to the beautiful Biddulph Grange Gardens, we sit in the perfect location to offer an escape from hectic modern life, allowing guests to relax in a traditional setting with great food and drink.

Lovely family 21st birthday celebration. Staff very good and food lovely. Very impressed by attentive waitress. Compliments on our choice of venue. Good variety of vegetarian choices. Catered for a diet specific menu type.

Great service. Kids got a free icecream because they helped manager brush up outside. Genuinely great experience. Makes all the difference that extra bit of care and attention. Food good and reasonably priced. Sat outside. Was clean and new parasols look great. 10/10!

Good food but don't like being rushed from our table by the bill being presented unasked for i might add because we didn't refused a sweet course.. We would have had another drink or coffees but decided not to when the bill was delivered... Obviously they wanted us out...Its not as if the place was full... Plenty of empty tables. But non free in the bar area.

Unfortunately my mom and her partner were looking forward to a nice birthday treat earlier this afternoon. However they ordered a roast beef dinner which looked tempting at first sight. Beautifully presented in a rustic setting. On trying the cut of beef, they were equally shocked by how tough it seemed. They persisted to cut it and were even more disappointed by how chewy and fatty it tasted. They persevered but after a few mouthfuls left it. The veg presented no problems but the whole dining experience left them feeling hungry and disappointed. I feel it would prompt them to find an alternative gastropub in future, due to this. Maybe the beef issue is down to a new butcher or supply chain. I don't know, but please remedy this and alert the chefs who ordered it. Thank you.

Lovely pub. Grey food and drink and a great price. A proper quality place where you can tell the owners have invested in
