Lovely pub restaurant, all wooden which looks very classy and a warming feel. Also a log fire so it really is warm in winter. Fairy lights in places making it very pretty and a lovely outside balcony seating area which would be good in summer when it’s warmer. Food is the posh sort rather than pub classics which I don’t usually go for but after having nowhere else to go on Mother’s Day I was very impressed with the food and would love to be back soon. Staff are very friendly and accommodating even when things go a bit wrong. Perfect for romantic dinner evenings, especially in the conservatory section.

Always very busy because it's great. We booked a table for a birthday tea and they put balloons out for us. When bringing out the desserts they also brought out a special birthday treat at no extra cost. It was a really nice touch and really made the evening extra special. It's a fantastic place along with its sister pubs and would absolutely recommend it to anyone.

Cannot recommend this place enough if I could give it ten stars and more I would. Lovely old fashioned pub in village setting, food amazing really good choice on menu, recommend the fish and chips or should I say whale and chips it was Huge . Lovely atmosphere in pub . If you go for a meal book in advance as it is so popular.

Amazing refurb inside & out compared to when we last visited, the interior looks lovely, rustic & authentic, very cozy! Beer was nice but expensive and food was well presented but took ages to come and wasn't any where near warm to say the least! Plenty of it though! Home made chips were awful ! Couldn't fault the bar staff !

Food was lovely, fantastic selection of bottled beers a real bonus. Professional and attentive staff. Novelty cocktails also worth a try!
