Always use this chippy, it is in my opinion the best one in Swadlincote. I have never had a bad one, and I've tried quite a lot off their menu and it's never disappointing. You do have to wait for your order sometimes. The only reason is they are cooking it fresh. Recommended highly.

A very odd place to say the least. It isn't overpriced (in fact I would go as far to say it's very well priced) and the food is nice - however the waits can be absolutely insane - especially for a fish & chip shop! Unless your ordering the most generic thing - expect a wait. This could be over ten minutes even if they do tell you "10 minutes tops"! Just beware of this and if popping in quickly and you need to be gone - don't fall for this and go to the Sainsbury's next door instead!

We use this as our local chip shop. Never had a bad portion from there. Unlike some round here that have fancy awards, and rip off prices, the prices from here are very reasonable. The service is great, even when you need anything cooking from scratch, like pineapple fritters.

Fabulous fish and chip shop - by far the best in at least South Derbyshire!! Great menu, well priced food & friendly staff :)

Today I had a most unfortunate experience at this local takeaway. The person that cooked, what was reputed to be a large fish, was using his mobile device that was supported under his chin whilst cooking my fish. However, when the fish was presented to me I queried the fact that it looked like a battered sausage and was no bigger than one. To be told that it definitely was a fish and then to be charged £4.60 for it left me dumbfounded. The young woman that served me was very pleasant and obliging. As an added bonus we found a piece of thin metal in the chips which was only discovered after we had eaten most of the food. I will most certainly not be returning! I have only given this place 1 star due to the fact that it would not let me post unless I rated it.
