The Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is a leading General Hospital and specialist tertiary centre for cancer, Oral and Maxillo-facial surgery and pathology. The hospital serves a population of 320,000 for emergency and general hospital services and is the lead specialist centre for cancer patients in Surrey, West Sussex and Hampshire, serving a population of 1.2 million.

The maternity wards in particular are absolutely fantastic!! After I gave birth there the second time the midwife brought in a plate of snacks for myself and partner and made us all tea! They gave us a big hug and sent us off to the ward. Theses women were human, they shared my experience with me. I don't like it when people get to personal (you know when the waiter wants to be apart of your night out) but these women were amazing, they were there for me 100% and so attentive and supportive. The hospital helped me after being turned away from St. Peters and also dealt with my generalised anxiety disorder amazingly, never got annoyed or frustrated with me and are just perfect. I would recommend this hospital without a shadow of a doubt. The doctors are also so amazing. They sit down next to you, take their time, explain things fully.  I never felt like they thought they were better then me. They are attentive and caring. Exceptional staff at this place.

Simply excellent service. I was in for nine days. At each stage my treatment was fully explained and any questions i had.. answered. The nurses deserve massive credit for all they do and the cheerful manner in which they work. Tv's can be hired for a few quid a day.. and come with headphones so you don't disturb other patients. I cannot thank this hospital enough.

All too easy to knock the NHS but when they get it right I feel privileged to live in a country where we have a health service. Best A&E in Surrey always get rushed straight through. Great respect for the staff and what they do.

I was rushed to Royal Surrey County Hospital last night with heavy bleeding. I was 12 weeks pregnant and lost the baby. The paramedics did a fantastic job as well as the staff at the A&E. I needed to have a surgery. The surgical team was also brilliant. I was put into the gastro-intestinal ward after the surgery with people who had totally different problems. I had just lost my beloved and very much waited baby and not one person addressed this. When I cried a doctor came to explain that my womb had been emptied. Without any empathy. I know there is no ward for people like me but at least there should be someone who women like me can talk to about the loss of a baby which is more than just an emptied  womb. I feel very upset. This is just not right.

Any one that parks at the Royal Surrey hospital. Guildford.  Double check your parking tickets and the charges.   And keep them.   Check in on they new machines today  . Instead it checked me out from a visit on Wednesday & charged me £19.   Fortunately I have the check out receipt from Wednesday showing I paid.   Now got to take it up with they H/O on Tuesday
