I was delivering to a well known shop on the 30-10-25.nI saw Rex bakery a few metres away, so I went and checked it out, saw the sour dough loafs so I went in bought one, best one I have had for a long time.nMy wife liked it as well and don't tend to eat a lot of bread so I was surprised about that.nThat why I gave 5 stars, and if in area again will be more.
I visited the Rex bakery on Mother's Day Early morning. The choices and quality of Italian patisserie available are superb! We tried the cinomon bun and the mused chocolate and almond croissant.nI have previously tried their delicious focaccia sandwiches at lunch time - these too have been delicious.freshly prepared Italian delights so happy to have such fine breakfast options on our doorstep!nnGreat customer service all round!!
Really lovely cafe/artisan bakery ..nnI popped in briefly this morning for a flat white and a cinnamon roll which was delicious…. Lovely atmosphere nice and relaxing until a very rude customer came in making a big fuss about nothing . Quite ridiculous really! The lovely friendly young lady behind the counter handled it very professionally which was more than I would have done ! honestly why can’t people just be nice … !n….
Had a cinnamon bun today only half as it was the worst bun I had in a long time it tasted like it had sat there for days.nAsked the lady behind the counter if it was fresh today as I wasn't happy with my food and she said that it was and she would check with the baker.nIt's supposed to be an artisan bakery with really fresh stuff as the prices are for an artisan bakery but not the product.nReally disappointed.
Went back to Rex in Little Chalfont, first time in a year I’d spent nursing my beloved late wife and getting Probate done, delighted to find it just as wonderful as ever. I always feel like a kid in a Sweet Shop when rationing stopped after WW II when I go there, the looks, smells, and depth of choices is marvellous, at least as good as the best equivalents in Belgium and France, I bought two large Sourdough Wholemeal loaves thinly sliced and bagged to have alternate slices separated by perforated polythene sheets before freezing - I live a few miles away, then treated myself to as fine a double espresso and toasted cheese and ham on thin focaccia as it’s possible to buy. Wonderful. Will be back regularly as before
