The Stirling Arcade has long been an important feature in the city centre due to its prominent location right in the heart of the old town. It stretches from Murray Place (near the railway station) to King Street at the foot of the Castle Rock. Throughout its long history the building has had a variety of different names including the Stirling Arcade, Alhambra Arcade and Crawford Arcade. The Arcade recently benefited from an extensive renovation and redecoration programme, the result of which is a unique shopping environment where stunning architectural features and traditional values meet contemporary retail and business units.

A slightly out-of-the way shopping area in Stirling. Off the beaten track although right in the town centre. Businesses tend to change owners very frequently. There are some very interesting gift shops and a Tex-Mex restaurant. A new and up-market wine and spirits has recently opened. All-in-all a pleasant area that has potential but lacks foot-fall.

A nice little collection of shops. The arcade has an older look that has been updated with taste. It doesn't take a long time to get through and I certainly wouldn't recommend making this the only place you visit that day, but it is a charming little place with a variety of stores.

A hidden treasure. Lots of lovely querky shops with very friendly staff. Perfect if your looking for an unusual gift.
