Went to Pershore for a 90th birthday. Needed a bed and found the Star. Staff, fabulous, helpful. Room nice, bed, what you paid for. Room nice size. Loads of coffee and condiments. Shower in room. Lovely message on how to get in. What I wish I had known beforehand why only a 4star. The rooms are above a pub, so you can hear patrons talking, live music and lights on outside. Blackout curtains, but gaps. Old building, so even thou shower no water pressure or very little. We booked in early, around 39 minutes which cost us an extra £10, which needed to be paid in cash at the bar. Typically who carries cash much these days. Would I go back, yes, but knowing what I am in for.
Played a gig here as part of the Lisa Voleta band, on the decking in the wonderful riverside beer garden at this venue in Pershore. The staff and crowd were amazing, and the beautiful surroundings and weather! also helped immeasurably. The lack of full fat coke at the main bar was quite frankly astounding, and other people I was with noted a limited choice of beverages. However, this didn't stop the evening being a massive success.
Such a lovely room I stayed in, the food was lovely as well.nI recommend getting the Gar-Mesan Chips
What a lovely riverside pub in the heart of Pershore.nI enjoyed a freshly drawn pint of IPA with a proper chicken fillet burger, that was really tasty.nThe staff were very pleasant and even brought our drinks and food out to our table in the riverside garden.nGreat, relaxing as we watched the boats passing through Pershore lock.
Absolutely wonderful, stopped here for a late lunch after visiting the confetti fields. Having tried the Anchor pub, where we were not welcomed at all. We were welcomed by staff, seated promptly. Food was AAAAMMMAAAZZZIINNGGGG. Very Attentive service, we left with full stomachs for our 3 hour journey back to London. Will definitely return.
