What a hidden gem , absolutely loved it , went with 2 fellas from work, was greeted and made to feel so welcome , the staff was absolutely lovely and funny , customers was chilled despite the football been on , every one was was polite and really friendly, we ate here to. The meal although this was my 1st and last parmo was fresh hot and cooked to perfection just not a dish thas for me, it was well presented and arrived promptly. Land lady sat next to us and pleasantly chatted and also took the time to say goodbye when she left .....5 stars isn't enough. Can not wait to go back again. The place is so full of character you just want to go
We were actually having a meal at the village kitchen bit disappointed not as good a standard as last time we were in got the same starter king prawns greasy not as lightly battered. Chicken and chorizo pasta nothing like what was said on menu was literally solid stoge. Pepperoni pizza a bit of a surprise, hunters Chicken lovely and so was classic parmo, staff lovely especially George the newby he was lovely
Went with a Groupon voucher for afternoon tea. Food was nice chips were amazing but place was a bit grubby with dirty windowsills and crisp crumbs still on the chairs presume from the Friday night before the toilets themselves were clean but toilet paper, tissues and rubbish on the floor in the stall and by the sinks. The milk jug for the tea was dirty and replaced with another dirty one... bit disappointing
Take away was lovely. The parmos are thick and good quality. The chips are homemade and tasty
Nice tea rooms with simple homemade cakes in a balanced afternoon tea that wasn't too sweet. Vegetarian friendly as well Worth a visit
Just had Sunday dinner and wouldn't be returning. Only giving 2 stars as the young barman was very polite and great customer service can not fault him one bit. As for the food, every last bit from Yorkshire pudding to the meat was cold. You pay for 3 meals one being a vegetarianand don't get enough vegetables to share between us all,ok if you don't mind having one piece of brocoli each and a few carrots and few peas. And having to wait for cutlery to be brought over after the food had been served probably didn't help the temperature of the food either.
Amazing Sunday dinner delivered from The Village Kitchen. 100% restaurant quality food, highly recommended. Large portions and delivered under an hour. Will definitely be ordering again.
Lovely afternoon tea to start the celebrations for my 60th Birthday. Staff were all very friendly and very attentive. Hope to go back for Sunday lunch soon. Thank you. Xx
Great day out just got a bit confused when the same round of drinks cost a different price every time
Delicious food, polite, attentive and lovely team.
