Found this place quite by accident after finding the place we were going was closed, and how pleased am I that this was the case. On entering the first staff member asked if we'd booked and when we said not she cheerfully said not a problem and found us a table. That set the mood straight away. Great atmosphere, wonderful staff and the food was excellent. They cater really well for vegetarians and vegans and the pizzas range from the classics to some really interesting and unusual toppings. The range of local ciders is fantastic and the knowledgeable staff will be more than happy to guide you through the various characters even offering tasters. The building itself is of interest being an old quayside customs house. All in all, if I lived locally I'd be here all the time... Unfortunately I live four and half hours drive away! Highly recommended. Shame I can't give em six stars!!
Great pizza place with awesome views. Ordering is via an app and you get 20% off the first order so worth using. Service was a little slow, but not a huge issue. Food was fresh and tasty. Left a lasting impression. Cost wise is what one would expect, not a bargain but good value. Would go again
Great pizza's, including gluten free options. Tasty potato wedges and great cider selection. Nice decor, good relaxed atmosphere and nice views over the harbour. Green salad was a little disappointing, but overall a great place to go!
Absolutely amazing pizzas served by friendly staff in a beautiful building and all at a really reasonable price. We went on tuck in Tuesday and got kids pizza with veggie sticks and a drink. 2 pizzas with side salad and 2 halves of cider all for £27.50. absolute bargain. The lady behind the bar was really helpful when choosing the ciders giving us a little taste of a few possibilities before we decided. Really great selection of proper craft ciders. Not that nasty fizzy stuff you usually get served.
A wonderful establishment that prides itself on its surroundings. Using local ingredients the food is rich in flavour. We enjoyed our stay here and though it was quite busy on the Sunday night bank holiday the wait was only 15 minutes top. The staff are a bunch of cool guys and the service is quick. The ciders ontap are plentiful and lovely. You can get s cider board if you want to try what they have. The also offer cider tasting days for birthdays or team building days.
Really relaxed atmosphere, had the Cider tasting board 5 x .3 pints of different ciders. Food came highly recommended, but I unfortunately can't confirm this - the "big jerk" pizza, although rated as "hot" on the menu, was unreasonably hotter than all the others in our group, like being hot for hotness' sake compared to the other dishes rated as 1 or 2 on the hotness scale, this one was rated a 3 but should have been a 5. Dessert was a disappointment too, as the kitchen had closed already without any kind of notice given, the ice cream available had distinct room for improvement.
Long tables and benches, with pillars, so warn them in advance if a wheelchair user. Lift or stairs to 2nd floor. Friendly atmosphere. Everything served on boards. Ordered: A Garlic bread with cheese and a vegan garlic bread with cheese, steak pie, Longhorn pizza, Blazing Saddle pizza, and vegan margarita, three soft drinks and a beer. £71.20. Steak pie was excellent as were the pizzas. Cons being really picky:- Shown to table, but not told that orders are taken at the bar. Drinks a bit priceyto what I'm used to PepsiMax £3.60, IPA £4.90 all pints. Would've preferred thicker base and more cheese on pizzaspersonnal preference Would've preferred smaller wedges with pie. Server should've been aware which garlic bread was vegan before reaching the table. Vegan pizza was a bit oily, with an unusual herb or spice, couldn't tell what it was. Overall a pleasant experience.
Took the kids and dog here for a bite , pizza lovely staff really freindly and helpful really easy to chat to made to feel relaxed, great selection of cider but I loved my beef brisket wedges I could of eaten three bowls of this really love the setup with the seating and food prep and bar great view over the harbour
After finding this place on Tripadvisor we decided to try it out. On arrived we were pleased that they managed to fit the 4 of us in even though then had a 30th birthday party in. Service was excellent and the food came very quick and we enjoyed the Cider Taster drinks, great idea for sampling the local produce. Would definitely go again and try the pies
The Weymouth Stable was an absolute gem of a find for us. It was the last day of our camping holiday in Weymouth and we asked our young girls what they wanted for dinner and they simply said pizza. A quick Google found several places, but The Weymouth Stable sounded more interesting, so we gave it a go. We hadn't booked, but they managed to fit us in; I think it's best to book. The staff were all great with us. The views out to the harbour are lovely. The pizza was amazing, the photo is of the special, the 'Rad Kimchi', which was like no other pizza I've ever had, adventurous for me, normally a 'meat feast' kind of guy. The children's menu portion sizes were spot on and the kids loved their pizzas and that they also got pizza cutters to cut them with! Pudding was also top, I had a brownie with lush caramel sauce and cream, a gooey delight. I highly recommend seeking this out if you're in or around Weymouth. Oh, the cider is good too! We went for a tasting board of five different choices.
