Great service and like wise with the selection on offer. However it is very difficult to give a proper review of a pud during these covid regulations. I would recommend this pub however I would live to be able to give it a higher star rating but unable due to these tines.
Came in for a pint and was looked after by the landlord. He even sat with me for a pint.
The pub was good before. Post lockdown the manager seems to have turned into a dictator. I’m all for the new measures, but the way the guy talks to his customers makes it an uncomfortable experience.

Very cheap friendly pub... just over 2 pounds a pint.

At the 'beginning' of the Town Centre, it's a convenient and cost-effective :- watering hole, from/to the Mayorhold Car Park; reasonable prices for drinks. But gets busy even crowded afternoons so be prepared for jostling for space :- ... otherwise a decent pub.
