Tasty food and friendly staff. The inside is decorated nicely, but a lot of walls and doors are worn or dirty. And there's a lot of gambling machines, probably about 7. I've never seen so many in one pub. I thought they brought the atmosphere down and we're quite distracting, constantly flashing around us. I know it's extra revenue though.

A no nonsense pub located in North Camp. Always good service and food is generally very good. Beer is always exceptional with good real ales on tap as well as plenty of lagers and even a cider on tap. Since Helen (the new Land Lady) has taken over it has definitely improved, and the new staff have excellent customer service skills and are a part of the excellent atmosphere. Regular pub quizzes are a welcome event here, and the pub helps support Marie Curie Cancer Care with collecting boxes and occasional pub quizzes wirg proceeds going to the charity. Being a local, this pub is a welcome place to frequent.

Food here is usually good but I use had a salad which had lots.of black old leaves.in which hasn't impressed me...it is new years day but is that a good excuse? Nope. Every one else's meals were good. Staff are friendly. Tables and menus could be a bit cleaner for my liking.
