Always a pleasant journey to the Squire. When I walk through the door and I see Ali I know I’m in for a good night. Donna has always looked after me and my friends and is always on hand to assist every need. Jason the bar manager is always quick to welcome us in and takes care of us and asks about our days. I must say my favourite employee is Chris. He’s the best and has the best playlist. Food is great and good value for money. Always feel apart of the squire family when I arrive.
Came for date night on a Friday and shared a delicious T-bone steak cooked to perfection. The peppercorn sauce was insane!nCouldn’t believe my eyes when they brought it the nachos as it was such a big portion! It tasted like the salsa was red pesto which I am here for!! The only thing which could have made them better is the inclusion of guacamole, but that’s just personal preference.nnThe service was smooth and really friendly. Will definitely be returning!
The Sunday roast was thoroughly enjoyable. While the Yorkshire pudding was slightly overcooked, it wasn’t a deal-breaker—especially since it’s not my favorite to begin with. The beef, cooked medium-well, was impressively tender and flavorful, not at all chewy. The garden setting added a charming touch to the overall atmosphere, making the experience even more pleasant. Friendly and attentive staff rounded out a very satisfying visit.
Everything is amazing here! 100% recommend, steak is fantastic, onion ring and chips perfect! will definately be back
Ate here on recommendations from friends but we were really disappointed. Charging a premium price and not delivering the quality of food you expect for the money. You may as well head into Bristol where you get much better food for a similar price. The whole feel of the restaurant is just a bit meh. One of our party described it as a pub from the early 2000s waiting for a refurb despite it probably have been refurbed within the past 5 years. The owners need to drive 10 miles into Bristol and see the steak houses there and replicate that here. Won’t bother heading back anytime soon. It’s all just very average.
