Loved it. Trad music on Wednesday with a fantastic accordion player, to be fair all the musicians were excellent. The snug has the best bar staff, friendly and made amazing cocktails. Which were two for one and great value. It should have been much busier but we did love it not being so.
A wonderful bar with the best staff! We were treated so well at my sister's hen and loved every minute of our time in the Snug. Great live music and the nicest cocktails!
Great pub friendly staff and great atmosphere
This is a great little bar, we arrived in a large group the atmosphere was lively staff very friendly & welcoming considering there were a large amount of us at once.
Went to the snug bar on Saturday afternoon. The boys in the bar were very friendly. Went back on Saturday evening the place was very busy but the staff were fantastic. Very friendly and very efficient. We then went back on Sunday to watch the Hurling final we were greeted at the door by one of the owners , he knew our order straight away. Can't recommend this place enough. Lovely bar . Brilliant staff
Beautiful little pub on the west side of Athlone, adjacent Seans Bar and The Castle Inn collectively known as the golden triangle!! Always brilliant atmosphere, live music and friendly faces!!
staff are lovely welcoming and friendly. makes you feel at ease. you order food from the restaurant next door pizza menu but if that doesn't suit ask for the full menu. staff were very attentive regularly checkin if we needed another drink.. felt very safe during these unusual times. Still noticed hand sanitiser around the pub. Not usual in August 2022. Great spot 2 for 1 cocktails hot the spot nicely staff are great too.

Terribly Rude door staff. Arrived 15 minutes after booked time with a large group. We had a reservation made and were turned away at the door with an extremely unwelcome greeting. So disappointing to be let down after organising an event there especially after all the pleasant and welcoming staff and businesses around Athlone Town.
