Lovely place right in the heart of Athlone. Fantastic ambience and exceptional service. Had dinner here with the family and everyone was very happy with their food. Very friendly staff. I would definitely recommend a visit.
Fantastic pub- great food & service. Had the bangers & mash- so good. Others had the fish & chips and buttermilk chicken burger- they were all great!
Visited in the late evening of October 5th, 2022. Got there too late to try the food, but the atmosphere was quaint and welcoming.
Overall it was good. Food disappointing. Chicken burger was burnt. Cheesecake had lumps of cheese in it. Horrible. Salmon cold. Could count the peas on one hand in the fish and chips. Drinks were good. Nice pint of coors and Guinness. Expensive if I'm honest for the food we received.
I went to Gertie for my birthday and although the place was full we managed to find seats as a table kindly shared them with us. The atmosphere was friendly, and as you would expect on a Saturday night it was noisy but in a nice, buzzy way. Excellent service at the bar thanks Henrique!.
Great atmosphere, lovely food and lovely staff. Only small let down was that the kids were served their food and finished before we got ours. We'll definitely be back!Food: 5/5
Lamb was terrible it looked like it was put in Hot water before serving. Buffalo chicken wings came with franks sauce on plate. Any chef can make a burger not this fellow stay awayFood: 1/5
We popped in here for some grub on our travels from the Uk around Ireland and was delighted. Good Guiness and very tasty food. Great Irish atmosphere and very friendly staff. If passing through again we would def stop here again!

Absolutely fantastic staff, gorgeous food and best pints in town would highly recommend, great place to book parties and family meals
