My favorite shop in glossop!. Great selection of fabrics and haberdashery. Top alteration service and very quick! The sewing school has many classes weekly for different levels of skill, from patchwork to soft furnishing to dressmaking. 😃

I had an old coat that I got in 2013 it's one of those perfect coats that you find once in a blue moon. However with it being old the lining on the sleeves were ripped to pieces. Instead of throwing it away I kept it just for sentimental reasons. Then I found out that the sewing box does repairs and alterations and took my coat in to get repaired. They managed to replace the lining on the sleeves completely and even got it to match the rest of the coat. Now I can wear my treasured coat for many more years and if anything should rip again I know where I will be going. I highly recommend going here.

This is the BEST haberdashary I have ever used. Twice I have taken two different coats to this shop, one a very expensive outdoor garment, and they have mended the problem perfectly. The garments required some thinking out of the box, they did this with a smile. Highly recommend this shop.
