Staff can sometimes be a bit miserable and the food isn't as good as expected for a seaside hotel.

We were out for the day in South Shields & were famished we had done the crazy golf a regular thing & had walked miles we were ready for a sit down with a nice cuppa & some good food. Well we got both we managed to get one of the last tables which just so happened to be right at the window we ordered & the food came fairly quickly to be honest given how busy the place was. Piping hot the lemon sizzled on the batter as I squeezed it all over my fish, to say it just melted in your mouth was an understatement it was probably one of the best I'd had in a long time the chips were perfect in fact 10 out of 10 for the food from the pot of tea to the mushy peas. If you can get a seat it worth the visit...

Visted this chippy on the 25th March and the fish was perfectly cooked and the chips were tasty. The queue was big but it was worth it.
