Really good fish and chips. The place is nice and clean. Portions are generous. If you want more chips, just ask (free of charge). The chips were fried to perfection; crispy and fluffy. Home made mushy peas were nice but the curry sauce was delicious. Very friendly staff. I would recommend this place.

Best fish and chips, & battered sausages in the world. Have to say, when my step dad was going through his chemo, I came here weekly for him and my mam. One day I'd not brought correct change and Sue let me come back with it another day. The genuine friendliness of all the people in here is even lovelier than their scampi. Very professional team, and seamless experience. X

Visited here as a solo diner. Originally thought it was a bit pricey, but the quality of the food was excellent. Moist well cooked cod in a delicious crispy batter. The chips were fluffy inside and golden outside. Mushy peas just like mum used to make. So justified slightly higher price. Staff were brilliant, didn't do enough for me once they knew I was alone, unlike some restaurants who shove me in a corner! Well done team, will visit again if I get to Shields. Have already recommended you & friends have loved it also.

Probably the nicest fish & chips I have ever eaten at. Staff friendly. Restaurant and toilets with nice decor and very clean. Very reasonable. Defiantly go again.

Visiting for lunch soon... Again... Always the best Fish and Chips in town. Others are good but Colman's tops them all. Excellent quality, with fast, efficient service from friendly staff.
