Visited St Ives in December and popped in The Rum and Crab Shack for some cocktails and a snack! Absolutely loved everything about it! Great atmosphere, food, drink, music, staff and price! If I lived in Cornwall I would be in there every day! Particularly liked the fact that it was dog friendly! Highly recommended! Will hopefully get to visit again one day!

Best crab meat I have tasted - although they had run out of the dressed crab and a few other menu choices due to an extremely busy Easter weekend, the full crab was delicious and very meaty. Try the crab mac and cheese! It’s super tasty. Good beer on draught and some nice wine selections that compliment and go well with... CRAB! Vegetarian choices limited but there are a couple of dishes on the menu. Glad I went here during my St Ives trip.

Great menu with variety of fresh sea food. Delicious starters and mains, portions size is good too. Great value for money. Right besides the St Ives harbour.
Try the New Orleans boil- sea food and veggies to share for 2! Crab & Rum soup has also an interesting twist and is delicious too.

Writing this review after having our lunch here - unfortunately two stars only and mainly only because of the friendly service... the food: burgers and fish portions rather smallish. The grilled burger buns can tell the grill is in an urgent need of cleaning and the deep fried chicken from the kids menu (popcorn chicken) the deep fry oil would well deserve retirement (even though it was actually not burnt it had kind of a blackish shade and tasted really badly of old, already way too long used oil).

A good size bar right on the front of the harbour. Selling everything you would expect including cocktails and good food!
Children welcome....
Word of caution, its located upstairs up some steps, so be aware with kids and prams.
