Currently on holiday nearby and popped in for some food and a pint and had a lovely evening. The food was very nice and the service and hospitality by the landlord and landlady was lovely. Would come again :
We ate at the Kings Arms twice when on holiday. Well kept Tribute ale and nice Merlot. Very good, straight forward pub food. The pork chop special and the fish and chips were particularly good. Keith, the relatively new landlord, and the other staff made us feel very welcome.
We had the fortune of staying in the lovely village of St Just with our two dogs. The King's Arms is a lovely traditional pub with St Austell beer on tap and good wine. Pete the barman is a very friendly guy with his lovely dog. Food looked great and beer very well kept as my Dad would say. Please pop in and say hello, a very warm Cornish welcome awaits
A great Pub, full of friendly locals and tourists alike I made Chums with a deaf local Dude and a couple of German Ladies with a superb Lady running the place…She was making it look easy whilst multi tasking that caused my head to hurt!!!nnThe food was absolutely banging too, this was the Slow Cooked Pork Belly and it was AMAZING. The base of the Pork was beautifully chewy that only comes from a long, slow cook whilst the meat was softly unctuous but with integrity, the fat perfectly rendered throughout and the skin was that beautiful, soft, gelatinously deliciousness with an almost impossibly crisp, glass like outer.nnHappily, the Chef popped out just as we were leaving so managed to convey my thanks and a fist bump
This place is a pub at the heart of the picturesque Cornish village of St Just. At the time of my visit there were two ales available, both from the local St Austell brewery. There is a fair amount of outdoor seating at the front. I confess I have not tried the food here though the menu looks like quite a comprehensive array of classic British pub grub.
