Took some time for someone to come to our table to take our order. Once the waiter got to us he was absolutely wonderful and gave us some great recommendations. The Reubens burger comes with salt beef on top of the burger and was absolutely delicious! Will definitely return.
This is a joke. Probably the worst value in London. Bland. Overpriced and disgusting. £18 for this horrific insult to sandwiches. Made with zero care or attention. At all cost do not buy from here. I have no time to write reviews because I am generally not surprised or too isappojnted to make myself angry about a service.but this is the ultimate piss take. I didn't know how it was possible to have less pride in anything. But these guys out do themselves. The most disgraceful sandwich in London. Stay clear at all cost. Close this place down.
These guys are a top class Jewish kosher deli. Their salt beef is superb chefs kiss and their other dishes are spot on and delicious. Medium range prices for kosher food but well worth it. Also a great option for kosher food while in the west end. I got the Reuben which is a double decker salt beef sandwich with coleslaw, mustard and pickles! As you can see, it couldn’t hold itself up but it survived. Well not for long. If anything, service was a bit slow but I can let that pass. Times are tough to hire staff so I get it. Def come here, even if you don’t eat kosher because their salt beef is amazing!!
STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!! FOOD IS NOT AS DESCRIBED and POOR QUALITY! I ordered a Salt Beef Sandwich and instead of having the mustard inside the sandwich I asked to have the mustard on the side. They refused and said that they have to charge for the FREE mustard offered inside the sandwich!? I was totally bamboozled and asked why? His response was "because that is the way it is". I called back to speak to a manager asking what can be done and then got hung up on. I also made them aware of the last order in which i received a half empty sandwich, certainly not how it looks in the images. He said you will get the standard weight. The issue is what they advertise in the images and what they call standard weight is HUGLY different. So different that it should be a crime!! The staff there are miserable, rude, unenthusiastic and have NO VALUE for customers who are the ones paying their bills and salaries. Absolutely shocking. this place is allowed to trade. I have already made a formal complaint with Deliveroo and I am waiting for a callback from the manager. Also what they advertise and what you get are two totally different things - Totally false advertising! See Pictures.
Ignore the bad reviews, they’re from dummies who don’t know what they’re talking about. What, is the salt beef too tasty for you? The portions too generous? Did the chicken soup warm your soul up too much? Yes, Reuben’s is on the pricey side, but that’s because it’s kosher. Kosher meat is expensive, because it can’t be mass-produced in the way that other meat can. So you can’t blame the restaurant for their prices. They cater to a kosher market. If you don’t like it, don’t eat kosher food, it’s that simple. The fact is, this is a top-tier Jewish deli. The Reubens chicken soup is comforting and delicious. The pulled beef in ciabatta is so tasty and tender. The sandwiches are top notch, and absolutely stuffed to the brim with fillings… so those photos from that other user’s review that showed just a thin layer of meat are not correct, they must have taken the fillings out to take those pictures to smear the restaurant on purpose. I won’t speculate as to what their reasons for that could be. The only thing that matters is Reubens is a great place to eat great food.
World-class salt beef sandwich and giant latke never disappoint! Delicious!Food: 5/5
Read some reviews here about the food offered not fitting description/quality ?? or the service being slow? Yes the service was a little slow but that can be London sometimes and the food itself came relatively quickly actually 5-10 minutes after we ordered. About the food, how could you complain about classic jewish soul food like matzah ball/egg noodle chicken soup and salami/pickles/mustard on rye extra pickle on the side of course?? Some people just need better things to do. I found our server very friendly and the food nicely prepared/presented, fair portions. Would recommend Reubens Deli if you want a classic NY-esque kosher lunch in London.
Had a great visit to Reubens over the last weekend and it has come leaps and bounds since a few years ago. The inside is nicely redone, the service great and prices for the area and kosher very reasonable. Basically the same prices as Golder Green. Good was great but simple and great flavour. Chips were a bit soggy though, don't over complicate them! Overall very good service and food, place was very clean and good staff. Food here was amazing! Stayed in London for 4 days and came here two eat dinner 2 out of those 4 nights. Service and staff was fast and friendly and very accommodating. Portion size was perfect amount and a little excessive where I had to get the rest of it to go. The food options offered was also very large and there seemed like there was something on the menu for everyone. Decorations and decor was very elegant and gave off a classy home feeling. The only issue I found while I was here which was only an issue 1 of the 2 nights I ate here was that there were little flies crowing on the walls near the front door. Once the issue was brought up to the staff working they handled it with ease and was very apologetic. They took care of it and the problem was solved. I wish I lived near here as I would love to eat dinner here again. Genuinely miss the food here.
Excellent food! Best Reuben sandwich I've had in years. Lean, not at all salty. Side salads were delicious and fresh. Portions were generous! I didn't give 5 stars because the service was intially very, very slow. I never mind waiting in an establishment, but we sat for 15-20 minutes without being acknowledged. I plan on returning and passing a good word!
