The Royal Forester
"The Royal Forester Inn is Bewdley's own bed and breakfast, pub, and traditional inn. We have 7 en-suite rooms available to explorers and dog walkers of the Severn Valley and beyond. The Royal Forester Country Inn is reputed to be one of the county's oldest inns. A refurbishment in March 2018 has added to the charm of the building, so we are well equipped for all visitors. We have earned the AA breakfast award in 2018 and have held an AA Rosette Award for Culinary Excellence since 2008. We are child- and dog-friendly, and you're more than welcome to stay the night with us or just drop in for some food and drinks at our restaurant and pub.We are very proud to have won Channel4's Four in a bed in 2014!"

Seven of us went there for a meal on a Saturday night. They were very busy with all tables in use, it was a good job we had booked. We had to wait 30 or 40 mins for food, but that was acceptable considering how busy they were. Staff were friendly and food very good. They only had one real ale on Worcestershire Way but that was a good one.
A very welcoming pub/restaurant. The food is excellent and the beer is good as well. Food is served pretty much all day, from breakfast to lunch to dinner. The service is polite and friendly. It is more expensive than most of the other pubs in the area. However, in most cases, you are getting what you pay for. It's absolutely worth a visit.
Good home cooked country food..room was clean and quiet except for a bit of noise as people left at closing time. Staff friendly and helpful. Good value! Nice decor..interesting place with a bit of history to it.
Really great country Inn, beautiful and clean rooms with tea/coffee area, powerful shower , really comfy huge bed , fluffy towels and toiletries. Staff welcoming and helpful . The breakfast selection was plentiful .Full English was really good, well cooked with quality fresh ingredients , continental meats, pastries, cereals and fresh fruits. Definatly recommended a stay here.
First time at this beautiful place. I loved the lay out, lots of nooks and crannies. Food was delicious and served on piping hot plates which always gets a thumbs up from me. Very pleasant staff and friendly environment. Worth a visit!
Went for lunch today . Delicious food garlic mushrooms done just as I feel they should be . Dog friendly ,unpretentious surroundings and friendly staff. Our first visit to this pub and definitely not our last. Thank you.
Just stayed here in the aubergine room bed was so comfy, room clean. The food we had in the evening was very good overall great service the only thing I would pick a fault with was the buffet breakfast that advertised meats etc there wasn’t any and there wasn’t much bread out and had to ask for milk and butter in hindsight I wish we would of ordered a cooked breakfast instead but we would defo return here to eat and stay again. Very well priced food and drinks Thankyou
Went for a family mother's day meal. Good was okay but not as nice as usual here. However, good quality and service seema to lower everywhere on commercially popular dates such as mother's day, valentine's day, father's day etc. so this won't stop me returning to this place. Great location for a beer and some grub after a walk in the forest.
Went here for lunch on the 27/12/22, food was very disappointing, burgers not cooked and was oozing blood onto plates and cold, chocolate brownies were meant to come with chocolate sauce and it was Literally a cocoa powder and water mix and was super dry. When we complained to the staff they didn’t really listen and carried on clearing the table, even after being told 3-4 times but different people at the table. Chef came out a few times and was petting dogs outside the front door, be nice to know if he washed his hands. No one made any attempt to apologise even though there was 4 uneaten burgers and all complained. The only member of our party to eat all of the burger was then later sick on the evening, don’t know if this was due to the food but can’t imagine it helped being undercooked/raw. Won’t be going back here ever again, real shame as year before food was amazing, severely gone downhill. Save your money and go somewhere else.
Came for lunch 4 days in a row with my wife. Was served by a wonderful, polite, friendly, attentive team of staff. I hear some people complain about the age of the very young team but in my opinion they were fantastic. Decor was snuggly. Food was banging. I had camenbert, chicken wings, burger not undercooked in the slightest. Might come back for a fifth day its christmas after all am I right ladies!!. Also shoutout Bronte, the waitress who made my lovely coffee. So good I want to move in and live here. Have a great day all. Peace.
