Lovely pub large garden with a bouncy castle for the children. Very friendly staff . Real ales on tap and the home cooked food was excellent!! The steak and ale pie and cod and chips stood out on the menu for me. A proper English country pub .
Lovely warm log fire and that's were it ended. Not lunchtime food other than stale baps. Female on bar was as warm as ice. Not friendly. Did not feel welcome. Not likely to ever return
Love this place so much Friendly and they love the dogs . Always a warm welcome fire and a pint what more can you ask for.
Definitely worth a visit.. Food was lovely, pudding in picture was amazing. The pub has a lovely relaxing atmosphere and the service from Ben was faultless.. a really nice bloke, pleasant and welcoming. We will definitely be going back again soon...thank you for a lovely lunch
Pleasant country pub just down the road from Arley Station on the Severn Valley Railway. Reasonable range of beers and quite a large food menu, although we didn't partake, it certainly looked good. Welcoming and friendly staff.
No pictures of food- but great value. Good pub selection. Real beer and cider on tap. Go on support a local pub. Plus the loos are open to the public whilst the council renovate theirs.
Five of us had lunch here from a choice of loads of country pubs in the area and we were really pleased that we did. There's plenty of choice on the menu for lunch or evening meal. Between us we had a ham and cheese baguette, bacon and brie baguette, chilli nachos, tuna salad and cheese burger. All of it was lovely and very filling, and we could tell the ingredients were good quality - we saw a local butcher making a delivery as we ate. Five mains, a side order of cheesy chips, a large wine and four soft drinks came to £56, which was excellent value. There's plenty of room inside and a very nice beer garden which was obviously popular with walkers
It felt very rough. Dirty old tables outside. No love or care at all. Had to drink from plastic cups. People were eating. It was Sunday lunchtime. We went to order food to be told they had too many orders and wouldn't take our order. We had walked 7 miles for a pub lunch. I thought it was very very bad. Outside there was dog poo everywhere. It was a hot day. There were no umbrellas. There was a seating area part under cover with sofas. It looked so unkempt. There was lots of boxes and rubbish in there. Most of the sofas had no cushions. The whole place felt rough. I'm afraid I won't be visiting again
Sunday lunch was lovely. Staff polite and friendly. Well worth a visit. We will return very soon
Your usual old country pub, they also sell ice-cream including Kelly's, loads of outside space including covered areas. Close to Arley Station on the seven valley railway and the River.
