service was good, had a polite trio of women that all served me at some point during my meal. the quality of food did not represent the price or reputation of the restaurant. I ordered the most expensive item on the menu which was a beef fillet and it was dry. it seemed like the meat was cooked and then left under a heat lamp to dry out. very disappointed with the food. would not recommend wasting your money.

Nice country pub hotel. Excellent food. Great staff. Only minor point was small shower cubicle which was a bit dated. Will stay again.

Very disappointed. It stated so well too. There were 4 of us and all the starters were fabulous. The main courses however were just ok, apart from the mixed grill, which had been completely overcooked, we sent it back and it was taken off the bill, obviously. However, by the time a new plate of different food had come out it had already spoiled the afternoon. They weren't really that bothered about the appalling state of the returned meal. I wouldn't recommend and would not return.

Family owners work hard to keep standards up and customer focussed. Food good. Venues for events good.
