Lovely village. A nice enough traditional pub, with hosts that try to make you feel welcome. The food was good, although if I'd have stayed much longer I think I'd have a heart attack! My son loved it though.nIt's all fair priced, the only thing that could be better is the bathroom. The shower is tiny, and the water pressure pitiful!!nA pretty small twin room but it's perfectly ok for a short stay.nAll in all not bad. We'd like to thank the guys for our stay
I had absolutely no idea pub food could be this good. The mac and cheese was absolutely incredible. The garlic bread was unlike anything I'd ever had as well. A clearly talented chef is running the show here. If I came here again and the price of the food had doubled, I would be fine with that.
The pub is located centrally and is pleasant to view. Indoors, it's a traditional pub with a several screens if sports events were on.nnService was friendly and brisk. We stayed overnight and the accommodation was OK and very reasonably priced for the area.nnBreakfast was a bit haphazard and I wished I had not had the cooked breakfast as it was far too greasy for my stomach. I felt for the couple running it because they would have been up late the night before and up early this morning. Still, we were greeted in a friendly manner and made to feel welcome.
one of the worst b&b’s I’ve stayed in.nnwe were in the bed & breakfast for a weekend. the breakfast was nice enough, but the rooms were absolutely filthy. towels and sheets were stained and covered in hair, crockery was dirty & the bathroom floor was covered in hair.nnthere’s no WiFi, even though they listed it on their booking. and the staff were a little too nonchalant and very unwilling to help.nnon top of this, the pub neglects to mention they put on live music on a Saturday night until 12am which you can hear directly through the walls. and there’s a rooster that lives next door that woke us up at 5am on both mornings.
I had the roast pork. The two slices of pork was chewy. The mash potato was wonderful, plenty of vegetables. Roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings was not nice. Tasted like Aunt Bessie's tbh.nWon't be recommending it.
