We stopped an elderly gentleman in "Chapel" asking him if could recommend a good place for coffee and cake. He pointed to Stocks and said I go there every day and it's very good and the staff are wonderful. So we tried it and the gentleman was spot on. Very very friendly staff with excellent coffee and a wide range of sweet stuff. Turned out the gentleman was 100 years old and had survived the Somme in World War One and after his daily visit to Stocks he potters along to the bookies for a flutter on the horses. Hope he had a winner today.

Clean, dog friendly, lovely staff serving tasty and well priced breakfast, lunch and snacks. Free wifi. Great place to pass some time.

Owner and staff are very nice and happy to chat -even if its 15:15 and they close up at 15:00 cheers for the warm coffee on such a cold day

What do you do on a wet Saturday lunchtime in the Peak District? You visit this fabulous little gem. Welcoming staff, fantastic fresh cooked food and a great atmosphere. Visit and you won’t be disappointed!
