Was here for dinner, took quite long for the food to arrive. We ordered chargrilled but the chicken was a bit burnt and taste buttery. Overall average food.
Really slow service 35mins for a lemonade and steak sandwich. Steak was burnt and pretty much inedible. Wasn't very busy so not sure what the wait was.
A busy pub between Euston and Kings Cross, has character and a decent atmosphere, the bar staff were friendly too.
The sign unfortunately is a bit of a lie, the 9.75 for a beer and burger turned out not to exist… the staff I spoke to gave all sorts of reasons I was told, it’s only on Sunday, it’s only in the evening, it’s only for students… whilst their sign clearly says happy hour from Sunday to Thursday 4pm to 9pm and only the 20% student discount is of course exclusive to students. The cheapest drink and burger combo is around £12 I think which is still good since you can have a pint of Guinness included in this. The burger is very tasty as well so very much worth the money. I just wish the signs wouldn’t be so deceiving!
This pub is what it is. Down to earth, basic food. Yes the basement loos are a bit dank and smelly but they’re clean and smell of being underground not of dirty toilets. And yes they really should replace the carpet and paint the corridors but the main bar has a lovely wooden floor None of this should put you off. The place has a really relaxed atmosphere, the staff were welcoming and attentive and the food was well cooked. Loads of guys boozing 11am on a Sunday but us 3 girls felt very relaxed and safe.
Great food, great atmosphere and really welcoming staff.... Loved the Steak and Guinness pie....
Extremely well located pub. The prices were extremely reasonable especially in the area. I popped in for a bite to eat and a quick pint before my train home. The staff on were extremely pleasant and welcoming to me even as just a walk in. So I strongly recommend this pub.
Do not order table service for drinks! The wait is atrocious, having to go to the bar to ask where your drink is after over 20 minutes since submitting an order completely misses the point of table service ordering; particularly for sole customers. Very poor. Otherwise, nice atmosphere and staff were good if only they looked at the online order board once in a while
My friends chose this place to meet up for my one-night layover in London, and they couldn't have made a better choice. Had a marvellous time here! Massive shoutout to Michelle ma belle the Arsenal-supporting Jagerbomb server, you were a highlight! Also props to the rest of the bar staff, especially the big bloke who let me have samples of the different beers and the lady with the attractive eye shadow who was very sweet and friendly. Good beer, fair prices, great atmosphere. I'll be back next time I'm in the country!
A great pub, ideal location if you are going/leaving King's Cross or Euston. Very well priced for the area. Foods decent and quickly prepared.
