Thanks for such a great service. Absolutely fantastic food and the staff are just so friendly. It has a lovely chilled atmosphere that livens up at the weekends. Open mic nights are great and they welcome dogs and have a huge beer garden.
Reserved the private room for 1st birthday celebrations, the team could not have been more helpful from first email to quick walk through of what we wanted on the day, setting up the room, service, food etc. The team are just so lovely and nothing was too much trouble. They had a few new staff on the day we were there but they supported them as caused no issue to us which was lovely to see. Roasts were yummy and the private room space was a fab size for an extended family table and room for kids to play. Booking again for our next occassion.
Lovely Antic group pub. Been a few times to this one but my first review. Great vibes, food was delicious. Big garden out the back. Great service, super friendly bar man when I came in and the garden service also really prompt. Stayed 4 hours on a Wednesday evening in July. Please do clear the plates a little faster as that got on my nerves slightly, but apart from that we loved it. Thanks for a great night!
Best pub in Penge. Roasts are amazing as is the sticky toffee pudding. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Its more than just a local pub it's family.
Eclectic & intriguing, big pub with great mix of vintage / 20th century / loved in appeal. Deliberately & naturally roughed. Good vibe.
Family group of 6. All very impressed with the food. Best fish and chips I've had, and I've had a lot. Good beer selection too. A surprising find. Lots of parents with kids during the bank holiday weekend we attended.
We frequently go to the Goldsmiths but this was the first time we used the function room for a baby shower. It was absolutely wonderful - Erin and the team did everything to help us out before and on the day - even when it was packed in the pub. The food was amazing, as per usual and everything went perfectly. The room was a great size and although we did decorate you don't need to as it has such a great vibe. Would definitely recommend using them for any function you wanted to have in a nice local pub setting with great food
We booked the function room for a Christmas dinner/party with 15 friends. We had a great time. The staff were so friendly and made us feel very welcome. Rian even stayed well past his shift finished to make sure everything ran smoothly for us. The food was above expectations too and we had such a lovely night. We really liked the relaxed atmosphere. We'll definitely be back.
I had a big party at the Goldsmiths last weekend and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!! The staff especially Erin and the man with long hair who I don’t know his name are so so so accommodating, helpful and lovely. They were so easy to communicate with leading up to the event and were flexible with any request I had. The buffet food was great, lots of it and everyone was impressed. The space is perfect for big or small gatherings. Everything was amazing I would definitely recommend anyone looking for somewhere to hire for a party to go to the Goldsmiths you won’t be disappointed : thank you!!!
Awesome place. Very friendly, super attentive staff & great food. Beer garden with lots afternoon sunshine gives this place a thumbs up and a bookmark to return next time.
