Fantastic food, nice presentation and great service. Good value midweek two course set menu.

We went for dinner to celebrate my husbands birthday, the food was delicious and for a bistro the portion sizes were just right,we didn't feel like we were mice. The staff were friendly and helpful,and it was a lovely evening,a fair price too.we shall definitely be returning when it's my birthday.I would say though that the only negative was that the ice-cream that I had with my desert didn't seem of very good quality hence the star rating of 4instead of 5 .

Just had a Mothering Sunday meal here. Enjoyed the best steak I've ever eaten... Staff friendly and helpful. Would recommend to my friends that they go and experience this wonderful place.

Had a delicious meal at the River Bistro last night for my birthday.  Our first visit to this little gem of a restaurant and we will certainly be going back.  Jan Butcher.

Tucked out of the way, but worth going. Lovely food with good service and a great wine list. Nice for a quiet meal without the hubub of the high street.
