Food was really good quality, everything tasted great and was very reasonably priced. The Red Lion burger is a great option. Portion sizes are generous, and the ice cream included in the Little Cubs meals looks like a full priced desert. 8 of us dining on New Year’s Day, 4 adults and 4 children, and the bill was less than £20pp.nService was excellent, very friendly and accommodating of young children. The only negative is the 4 hour drive for us or we would be regular visitors!
Roast dinner was fair for the price, but I would call it more of a canteen style roast. Don't expect medium rare meat, or elaborate sides. But what was served was nice and filling. Service was fast and the waiting team were friendly.nnThe pub was warm and the drinks were not too expensive.
What can I say, the food was amazing!nnI eat a lot of steak and I can honestly say that what I had last night for my works party was probably one of the best if not THE BEST rump steaks I've had that I haven't made myself.nnDefinitely will be coming back for more.
We were amazed by the food at The Red Lion. A high-quality menu exemplary for a modern pub. Portions are enormous, food is delicious I recommend the Greek burger, and above all the staff are outstanding. Vegetarian options are a huge plus.nnIn sum, we found The Red Lion in Llandybie to offer superb value and an authentic Welsh pub atmosphere. We wouldn't think twice about returning - excellent establishment, diolch.
From the get go, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. This is a prime example of a dog friendly pup. They really are fantastic with dogs. They bought us over a bowl of water and gave our Bo lovely fusses. We didn’t want to leave! The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was excellent. I really couldn’t have asked for more.
