Unassuming facade, great food. Crisp and thin batter, cod was glistening and falling apart just like cooked-from-fresh, good fatty cod should. Leftovers were great even after a day in the fridge, which speaks of quality of ingredients and wholesome cooking. They keep the cost low by not having a dine-in space, although there are a couple of chairs and a table inside for weary feet.
Called in as was local to our holiday cottage in Gelli.nOrdered a fish chips and mushy peas. It was plenty for the two of us.nWatched the fish being battered. It was perfect and delicious. The batter stayed crispy until we got home too. Proper chips toonI'm stuffed and now need a nap.
Very nice couple taken over, did not have to wait too long, good service, pleasant atmosphere. My order of cod,chips and curry sauce was delicious, best for ages.
What a find a chip shop that sells gluten free options!nDelicious chips and battered sausage! We will be back
I think the chips could have done with a little bit longer, and the cod wasn't the best. But overall, it was ok
