Can’t comment on the food, except to say by the look of the place, it would not have been an option. However, the beer was atrocious, the worst pint of cask ale I have had in living memory. The head resembled a blob of bath foam. Even worse was the wine, my wife ordered a glass and was given a small single glass bottle! Outside there are a few benches with nice views across Mounts Bay, even so that is not so great as the floor around the bench was littered with ciggie butts.

We loved our experience at The Red Lion Inn. Beautiful, authentic pub with delicious food and superior service. The owner was Lovely and took time to chat with us. A very memorable and enjoyable evening.

The food here is amazing. Really worth going to try all of the food. No1 place to eat in Newlyn/Penzance.
