I always liked The Range for household goods but the entire upstairs that used to house furniture seems to have been turned into a storage area. This is possibly the reason for the closed cafe as well? It wasn't a completely wasted trip as the lighting area of the store is still decent and we managed to get a few of the bits we needed.
I'm not a fan of shopping but popped in with she who must be obeyed to get a few things for the bathroom. Pleasantly surprised by the choice and pricing, I need to try this place more often! Even had a chat with aember of the team and she was lovely, very friendly and helpful. Makes a nice change. Lass on the till was friendly too. The store did look like the Russians had mistaken it for the Ukraine but I can forgive that, they seemed to be moving stuff around which may explain it.
Wow... This place is huge. Shame they were starting to take the Christmas stuff down when we visited. If you can't find what you're looking for here, then you don't really want it. I've never seen so many jigsaw puzzles for the size and shape and 3 times cheaper. Going back after Christmas for a better look around.
I was a tad disappointed overall, the Range layout seemed fragmented with Xmas sections sporadically set out in 3-4 areas of the shopping area. I actually went for ECO homefire coal. I checked if in stock and rang inadvance to confirm still in stock. Yes you've guessed on my arrival IT WAS NOT enough said.
It was a bit disappointing as the change over from Christmas stock was in progress leaving a rather messy appearance and lack of order. However, we found what we wanted and a very helpful member of staff carried it to the tills and then to our car
Could spend hours in here. Friendly staff always on hand to help. Clean and set out so u can find what u need
Can normally find most things, has a good craft section. The only disappointment is the lack of staff available to answer any questions or to help with where things are in the store.
Absolutely appalled at three staff members. Only one girl on the tills and obviously struggling, another blonde haired girl came to assist then walked away, the girl who was trying to sort a customer then also walked away to get replacement. A man who could clearly see me in line walked to the far till and called other customers forward.Totally ignorant of any customer care I put my basket of items on the till counter and walked out. Never in all the times I have been into the garden centre have I been so disgusted. Prior to checkout we had been into the restaurant and received excellent customer service. The three stooges on the tills could take a lesson on customer service from the restaurant staff
Yet again Got to the check out to be overcharged. Highlighted to cashier. She called someone. 3 different people came...eventually. The the 1st person radioed for approval to charge me what I was supposed to be. No apology. Poor customer Service.
Helpful when phoned, stocked what we wanted, but a bit of a hike to find it, pay and leave!
