According to what my brother in law says, this place used to be great, that's why most of the good reviews are from a few years ago. I went there on Saturday night with my other half, sister and brother in law. I ordered a chicken biryani, my food came with no chicken and barely any sauce. It was extremely dry. I sent it back and the waiter rolled his eyes at me. I ignored this. It came back with more sauce but it still really wasn't great food. It was in fact one of the worst biryani's I've ever had. At the end of the night, I offered to pay £5 of the £7.50 the biryani cost, this wasn't payment for all the food we had, just the biryani. The chips were McCain's so it was standard. My other half was happy with his food so we would have paid for that. The manager came to our table and said if I didn't like the food I should have sent it back. I pointed out I did, to which he conceded defeat and stopped his attitude. My sister and brother in law pointed out a human hair which they'd just found in their sauce and refused to pay, to which he replied if they don't like the food there then don't eat there. This manager, who claims to have 21 years experience, is a disgrace. When my brother in law stood up to his bullying, he shoved my brother in law 3 times before my brother in law retaliated, in the end punching the manager in the face. He then called for his staff to grab knives whilst his other staff assaulted my sister and other half. Tables ended up upside down and plates and glasses smashed, I'm extremely lucky I managed to dodge their assaults, having had surgery on my wrist tendons 3 days before .The police were called and arrested the manager because he actually mentioned the knives in front of them and he was shoved over the counter and arrested. These scum bags don't respect their customers. They just want your money. If this is the kind of treatment you want, be my guest. If you want a professional service, go elsewhere

DO NOT EAT HERE. Absolutely disgusting place. After having a nice evening out with my partner and family, we ordered our food, my partner ordering a chicken biryani where there was zero chicken and nothing but potato with no sauce so you can only imagine how dry it was, we were rudely spoken to by the manager where he told us "if you don't like it don't eat it", we then offered to.pay £5 for the biryani instead of £7.50 due to there being no chicken in it and all potato but that still wasnt good enough for this very unprofessional manager, and then when my partners brother in law stated that he found a hair in his food and asked if they could make more the staff caused complete chaos, where tables were thrown, my partners brother in law was injured, my partners sister was injured and myself also injured, the altercation was then taken outside where the MANAGER and his STAFF shouted many vile words and told his STAFF to get knives to which the police then turned up. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't the saying go "The customer is always right?" Would you ear your food if you were to find a hair in it? The place needs shutting down. Disgusting.

Really good food and a nice atmosphere. The portions are a little small for the money charged but quality over quantity is ok in this instance.

Excellent food and quality in food and services professional as always from Mr raj and his staff which can't do enough for you too om feel comfortable the food is consitetnt always 5* have tried indulgence up the road and many others the area they are okey but don't match the quality in food and services from raj spice have a to say best Indian restaurant In Blackheath keep up good work look forward for my birthday next visit see you you soon!
