Useful place for lunch. A small but tasty selection of real ales plus the usual lager suspects. The lunch menu looked reasonable too, however we didn't eat on this occasion. Staff were friendly and efficient. Will definitely visit here again.

Not enough seats so everyone had to stand in walkways constantly moving out of the way. Had a live band on (playing quietly due to council restrictions) but didn't turn off music playing through speakers. Good job we couldn't hear each other anyway. Took ages to get served with numpties trying to push their way in and bar staff not having a clue.

It just reopened and it is quite nice. We had the pie and mash and it was the best I have ever had. The pastry was delicious. Only hiccup has been the wait for food... over 1 hour. But then again it was mother's day and it has just opened. Top marks from us!

Very good refurb. They deserve to do well after the investment. Now too bright though (dimmer switches a must). They never used to have great real ales - the worst selection in Blackheath - but often have Proper Job which is a good pint. Hope they maintain and rotate their ales more...

Nice pubs, good selection of drinks though they are a bit pricey for the area. Gets quite busy on the weekend.
