Happy to find two real ales from Bowness Bay brewery. Had a good pint of Raven Red. TV's everwhere with the World Cup on. Many reserved for tonight when England play. Some outdoor patio seating. I remember a very hot summer's day sat there. Also courtyard seating and smoking area to rear past the toilets.
Very nice pub. Friendly staff and had a lovely pint of Fell Walker. Was in there to watch the football and plenty of screens and seats but also people just in there for a drink.
Visited this great pub a couple of times this weekend. There were 4 of us with 3 dogs. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. All the regulars were also extremely friendly too! A good selection of drinks, couple of local real ales on. Real ale Dog friendly Live sports Great beer garden with TV Live music on weekend Great atmosphere
Me and my partner came mid week to have a few chill drinks and to watch the football. We had our two dogs with us and the staff were super friendly and accommodating with them. So nice, we ended up going back a few more times during our trip We got speaking to the owners who gave us some tips and advice on places to visit whilst we were there and dog friendly things to do. We were going to go back in on the weekend but it was just a bit too busy for us whilst we had the dogs. All in all, all around great pub and can't wait to visit again.
Just what you want from a sports bar, warm and comfortable with plenty of TV screens positioned around. The usual beers and wines available with bar snacks if required. Friendly service, so couldn't ask for more.
Nice pub with outside seating. Bar has plenty of choice with gin and beer. The bar sell food upstairs but we had already ate so I can't comment on the food except what I saw looked ok. There was a singer/guitarist playing rock music which was great and ended up staying longer than planned. Toilets were clean enough and the bar staff friendly.
Great little pub with a fantastic atmosphere. Last game of the season, loads of different supporters, no trouble, jyst banter
Called in on the off chance of serving food and being dog friendly, no food served but made very welcome by the staff on duty and the landlady, who made all the dog owners feel very special, liked the the place so much and so did our gwp "Nellie" that we returned 4 times on our brief visit, as a retired licencee, the landlady, landlord and the staff are a credit to the trade and to winderemere, A proper pub who makes passing trade feel like long term locals
Popped in for a pint and stayed for 3, looked like a locals pub but we were made to feel really welcome. The guy behind the bar did a great job.
Good pub, good ale, sky TV. Only disappointment was it being a Liverpool FC supporters haunt. Hey ho. And yes, it won't stop me returning
