Good fresh sea food and local favorites. The staff were friendly and helpful. There are few tables next to lake which can improve the experience. The place is dog friendly and staff were kind enough for any special needs. Overall worth the price.
Great location. Food was very nice although gave us the wrong food at first and had to wait a while to get out proper order. I had pork roast dinner and my wife had loaded nachos. Was also a shame that there was a pool table next to our table which was fine until a staff member and guest started playing pool in the middle of our dinner.
Found opposite one of the car parks. The outside seating has views over the lake. This is pay at the bar for these seats with your table number. If you wish to eat inside its normal table service. The pin number to the toilets is at the bottom of your receipt. Food was average, reminded me a bit of beefeater style, my meat was a little dry like it had been under the hot plate for hours, and the steak wasn't the best. Great for some quick grub, but not a dress up kinda place....
Just spent the late afternoon here in the sunshine. Great selection of drinks at the bar, and lovely food when we decided to dine. Quite a limited menu, but served by polite and busy servers. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.
Got engaged here 25 years ago. Went back Thursday with my oldest son, place hasn't changed too much from what I remember Food was great, staff all lovely and very helpful! Awesome views...
Pleasantly surprised. The beer was good, the food was excellent and the service was quick and efficient. We will be back. We found a seat outside overlooking all the boats moored at the side of the lake. The view is very good and our visit went without a hitch. The excellent meals included a fish and chips, a sea bass, a lasagne and a sirloin steak. I said "pleasantly surprised" at the start because first impressions weren't brilliant. The first two staff members we spoke to were quite abrupt when we walked in and I felt like a bit of an inconvenience. All good in the end though!
Couple of shandies with an amazing view of the Lake. Had some wedges which were lovely. Big and like roast potatoes. Other food also looked good that we spotted. Fab pub in a great location.
Lovely Pub with fa static views. Offering a wide range of drinks. Shame there was no food served on the day we went.
Stopped here for some lunch and wasn't disappointed. Excellent food and service. Really good menu and choice and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend. Dog friendly also.
Staying at the refurbished Bowness Braithwaite Fold camping and caravan club site. Very important to get offsite and reconnoiter the local area even if it is dark. A 10minute saunter to the marina and piers selecting the ship inn as it is their last night of opening before renovations…. Not that it seems to need them. Decent beers, good service and a very attractive warming fire Ab Fab until it isn’t
