Was taken on as a chef with no experience behind me except a little bit in a mobile catering unit, 2 weeks after working at the queens head I was let go due to “attitude” yet I would ask questions as I was unsure of things and wanted to do them properly but apparently that’s attitude. But if we’re talking about attitude then how is it alright for my so called colleagues and boss in the kitchen to raise their voices at me just because they’re under stress yet I’m not allowed to say anything back and had to bite my tongue, and at the end of the shift I wasn’t even pulled aside and apologised to like a decent person would. I believe that in a work place everyone should be treated with respect and spoken to how they would want to be spoken to.
Great community pub near the station. Very good service from the friendly staff and a great range of cask beers. Justifiably chosen as Pub of the season. Good food too and a big beer garden. Recommended.
On our way back to the railway station Boothroyd Bear spotted the 4th 2024 Good Beer Guide 2024 pub in Congleton. Good sized traditional pub with real ale and food.. Big rear beer garden for an August evening session. No cash, card only..grrr. Good pint of Merlin's Cheshire brewery Excalibur.
Popped in for a drink as I had time to kill while waiting for my train. Very nice place and very clean.nManageress not sure if that's politically correct these days was chatty friendly and helpful.nWill definitely be back
Visited as a group of four for my birthdaynThe staff were very attentive, and the food was lovely.nVery much value for money .nWe hope to return soon to try the Sunday lunch, which I believe is amazing .
