### The Queen’s Head: A Spaniard’s Take If you’re in Great Yarmouth and looking for a classic British pub experience, The Queen’s Head is where you need to be. As a Spaniard, I stopped by for a bite and a pint, and here’s my take. **Food:** I went for the steak pie, and it did not disappoint. It was hearty, packed with flavor, and exactly what I hoped for from traditional British fare. **Beer:** To wash it down, I picked the most English-sounding beer on the menu: Worthington's. Smooth, refreshing, and paired perfectly with the pie. **Service:** The staff are super friendly, though the service can be a bit slow. No rush, though – it gives you more time to enjoy the cozy, welcoming vibe of the place. Overall, The Queen’s Head is a great spot for good food, great beer, and a laid-back atmosphere. Perfect for soaking up some British charm!
Stopped here for a quick drink on our walk and decided on a bite to eat. As we walked in we immediately received a dirty look from the old guy nursing a pint at the bar but as an alt family were somewhat used to that. Staff were super friendly. Good price for 2 pints and 2 glasses of cola for the kids. Ordered food that initially seemed expensive, till they bought out the massive portions! I had a chicken and bacon baguette that I regretfully couldn't finish, girls had some chips which they demolished and husband had some loaded fries. Everything was delicious and everyone is nicely full.
Nice pub and restaurant, we called in on the off-chance of getting a table and were not disappointed. Food was great and such generous portions we struggled to finish our meals. We ordered the fish and chips and our granddaughter had a pizza. They were happy to put remainder of pizza in a box for us to take away as she couldn't eat it all. Friendly and helpful staff would definitely recommend.
Jesus tonight!!!! I would love to give this place 6/5. Delicious food and brilliant staff. If we lived closer we would put their kids through college. Been twice on a four day break and absolutely delectable both occasions. Not even put off by the butchers aprons as decor. Amazing pub x
Food was delicious, big portions, attentive and friendly staff, will definitely be returning.Food: 5/5
Away last week , we wanted a Sunday roast and chose this one on a coin flip and glad we did. All agreed, this was the best pub roast we've had. Service was great and great price. Will definitely return here next time we're in Yarmouth.Food: 5/5
Went here for our work Christmas lunch. Nice place, efficient and friendly staff. I had red pepper soup huge bowl, roast turkey and Biscoff cheesecake. All of the food was very tasty, although my roast was missing the broccoli which I only realised later. The cheesecake for dessert was delicious. Couldn't say how much it cost 'cos work paid. Would recommend. Wheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible by wheelchair.
Stopped off here for an early evening meal whilst in the area on holiday. It's a smart looking pub. The food quality was very good, portion sizes were huge and the service was excellent. What more could you want. Absolutely perfect.Food: 5/5
Arrived at 13:50 just behind a large family 9, the barmaid knew that the kitchen closed at 14:00 which we didn't but despite the family being indecisive did not say to them that she would take our order while they decided. When she got to us at 14:05 we were told that the kitchen was closed she did go and check Marked as 1 star because she easily had time to take our order for 2 people while the large family decided. We waited very patiently for the family to finish having walked in immediately after them.
When I rang initially they told me they were fully booked but they rang me back to say that they could fit 5 of us in half an hour later the I requested. I wished I had declined as we didn't get our food for almost 1.5 hours, by which time we were past hungry. The portions were much too big for us ladies and we were sorry that we could only eat half of what we were given as it was very expensive. The men had steaks and they got them mixed up. Their meals were much smaller than ours. We couldn't be bothered with dessert by then although we had all chosen one! Good job I checked the bill afterwards as we were overcharged for 2pints of cola that we didn't have. Extremely noisy and busy when we arrived but cold and unfriendly by the time we left.
