First time at a Wetherspoons.With hubby and my friend. She ordered on an app! Pretty easy to do. And arrived very quickly. We arrived without a booking,as had a lovely walk around Norwich ,cow tower, etc.And tried to find a CLEAN table...! None anywhere...It was Sunday, So not overly busy.We had to grab a dirty one! Moved plates etc on to next dirty table! Other customers kept wandering around also. Looking for a clean place to eat..but some gave in and settled for a dirty one like us! A few staff passed at points,Removed cutlery and plates but No Sign of a cloth or a clean! Tut tut ! Nowhere looked very clean. Sadly. However toilets were lovely! And when the food came it was very very acceptable! And tasty! A great price too! Bit odd ,we ordered 2 chicken wraps....only 1 came with chips...and both had chilli sauce in it..not written on app. Or lite bites menu on table! And my chicken salad was yummy. Thanks so much .
A good breakfast platter with pancakes! The sausage skin is crunchy but the taste has a little bit of piggy smell. The pancake has a hint of cinnamon. The coffee is made from machine but taste ok. There’s a variety of coffee to choose from and it’s free flow. Very reasonable price. The location is near to Norwich Railway Station and a few big supermarkets with free car parking.
This was a brilliant pub to visit, with a smooth layout where the windows continue right along the sides! The disco setting from the evenings onwards is much to be appreciated, combining tunes with blue and pink lights. Counter is well-presented and seating is comfortable, I enjoyed an Angelo Poretti. Went another morning for breakfast and the Miner's Benedict was a tasty option with orange juice, cleanliness was consistent across both my visits here too!
Queen of Iceni, what happend to you? Dirty tables, long wait for food, taste not the same and smaller portions. Menu says 8 scampis and 7 turned up, very small portion of chips. The rice for curry was very dry and the beef for the curry was very dry to top. And we waited over 30 minutes for this!!
Very busy spoons pub. Ordered food and when it arrived realised it wasn't totally what I had ordered. Didn't complain as it was a warm busy afternoon.
