Wonderful food and service. Would highly recommend. We all had roast dinners and they were delicious. Big shout out to Roland who was so friendly, helpful and professional. Also massive thanks to the really kind lady behind the bar who kindly redid our bill after I had forgot to give her our 20% off voucher first time - we were so very grateful and sorry for the inconvenience. We will definitely be back! Kid-friendliness: Kids and dogs are welcome
The food is microwave food. Heated up, not really cooked. However it's nice tasty food and it's a very reasonable priced, the drinks are also a good price and staff very cheerful and helpful.Food: 3/5
Very pleased with service and food was excellent. Big thanks to waitress for amazing service and cooks Terry and Holly for wonderful burgers. My wife craved proper burgers for a long time and on our one in a long time date night she got just that. Can't wait to get back hopefully soon. Thank you.
Extremely dated atmosphere inside. We booked a table for 11.15am on a Saturday for brunch on the website. There was a brunch menu available, and it was possible to book for food at that time online. We turned up at the booked time with two toddlers, only to be told that the pub is open at 11 for drinks, but the kitchen is shut until 12pm... Why have a brunch menu and the ability to book tables from 11am, if you do not intent on serving that food at the booked time?! Other than that, it was dark and outdated inside, didn't look very appealing to sit in, and the staff member that approached us was not anything special in terms of customer service, given she could see we had arrived as a family...
Lovely clean place, staff are friendly. Had a little issue with drinks and food. Felt the food was eather re heated or kept under the heat lamp to long. The mash came out looking a little crusty on top. My drink did not come out as asked. Gordon's pink spritz served with strawberries. The drink came out with a lemon ? When i pointed out it was not correct I was told they have no strawberries. Still not happy with paying £4.99 for something I did not ask for I was offered rasberrys. Not wanting to make any one feel uncomfortable i had the raspberry's. I have to say the place had a very warm feel and the staff are very friendly and clean.
Came for Mother’s Day lunch it was lovely kudos to the chefs and the bar staff who looked after us really well. Roland did a fantastic job looking after us! We will be backFood: 5/5
Dog friendly pub with nice food with very friendly, polite staff. Food is tasty and nice portions too!Food: 5/5
1 star for a 1 hour wait. My steak & ale pie was nice in the end but the veg had that cooked-from-frozen taste. Lovely bartenders, especially the lady who gave us £2 back dessert for free when she realised how long we had been waiting. I’ll happily go back for a drink, but won’t put myself through the wait for sub-standard food again.
Fantastic food and great service. The barmaid was polite and friendly - couldn’t make you feel more welcome. Food was served quickly and was delicious. Will definitely choose to visit again when I’m next in the area.
Lovely pub usually, so we decided to go there last Xmas eve a big group of us. Well what a shame but will be the last year we do! Was about 30 of us maybe more - the staff and manager on that day was awful didn’t accommodate us at all even though we had booked tables we wasn’t allowed to stand or walk around had to be seated and just all in all very rude. We are just groups of family’s with the odd child each. We do this every year and most pubs love it as there is quite a lot of us again all families and spend quite a lot on food and drink and stay there for the whole day until evening, but will never be going back there again after that.
