November 2017 We visited this Pub in early November. It's what you would call, a proper Traditional Hostillery. Full of Locals, who were very friendly the Staff were friendly too. I was rather pleased, as they had Radio 2 on, with Ken Bruce. Later when his Show was over, different music was put on. I thought good, as l don't like to hear the Jeremy Vine Show, too much chatter etc. WE had our Dog Teddy with us. Who was brought a bowl of water and some treats, after we had got our drinks. It was lovely to be able to visit with our Dog and have a meal. We ordered our meals, from a Menu of Traditional Pub Fayre, all reasonably priced. I had the Prawn Cocktail, and Steak to follow, and Hubby had a cheese and onion Toastie. The meals arrived in reasonable time. Having worked in Catering most of my Working Life, l am aware how long it takes for food to be prepared, especially during those busy times. I was pleased with the Prawn Cocktail, really nice fat Prawns. l hadn't had one in a while. The Steak was tasty, and l loved the square chips, easier to pick up and eat too. Hubby enjoyed his Toasty, with his Side Salad. He's a small eater, so it went down well. When WE had finished, the plates were taken away shortly afterwards. The Decor was that of H.R.H.Services. My Husband pointed out the Armoured Tank in the Fish Tank, which made us chuckle. The Loo's were nice and clean, which was also pleasing, and checked on a regular basis. Everything was just lovely. WE really enjoyed our visit, and will definitely be returning on our next visit to Broadstairs, next year. Just to say, shame that it is, They do not do hot food on Sunday's, as apparently they cannot get the Staff.

Good old fashioned pub, like pubs used to be with a lot of charm. Friendly bar staff and regular customers very welcoming. Great selection of lager and bottled beers and ciders, wines and bar snacks. Cosy atmosphere and reasonable prices.
