Had a virgin experience today. Yearly event. Facility good as always. Enjoyed a aqua aerobics class. Spent time in sauna and hottub. Sat in cafe but waz very disappointed with customer service and range of food. We asked if there was any other fillings for bagels and was told thats it but receptionist later told us they make food to order. There was no menu to look at. Our spa treatment was absolutely lovely. So just the cafe let it down.

We enjoy our visits to Bannertynes most times, however there are three things I think would make our visit much more enjoyable.n1. The pool and jacuzzi are often colder than they should be for a leisure pool.n2. The showers near the poolside need replacing to more user friendly type.n3. The door leading to the outside pool should be changed to fully automatic because some members often leave the doors partially closed leaving a gap between the doors causing a draft on indoor pool members. Otherwise it’s a very nice clean and friendly gym with helpful staff.

This place is getting really shabby, machines often put of service for long periods and the spa/pool areas are filthy. Not the worst gym/spa but I've been to better. Not worth the high monthly fee. If they cleaned it up I'd happily pay but... They haven't.

On my visit, I forgot my towel and asked if one could be lent from the spa out of courtesy. This was refused, and the only option given was to pay £10 to buy one. Considering the gym regularly offers spa days and similar services, lending a towel would hardly have been an inconvenience for them.nnFor me, however, it was a big inconvenience. My plan was to shower quickly and go straight to work.nnThe facilities themselves are good, but the lack of flexibility and basic courtesy from reception really lets the experience down. A bit more understanding would go a long way.

I couldn't understand why Bannatyne at Broadstairs membership fees are over £70. a month when it is the most basic centre I have been too it is small cheaply furnished and no different from a free leisure centre having said that I would compare Bannatyne at Broadstairs worst leisure centre I have been to their pool is scruff and small and looks like a lean too building there's no nice things to look at I was so disappointed with my visit I had to cancel my membership.
