We go here for the Phoenix folk club which replaced the former Porky's when Dave retired. A nicely run folk club with some really good acts. Good beer available too.
A great Club supporting a good cause. Good facilities. Excellent range of Beers - real Ales. Friendly staff and comfortable surroundings. Bowling Club. Brilliant Concert Band. Good size Concert Room with facilities. Recently added new outside drinking area/bowling viewing area. Great improvement. Club prices for members. Home to the Poynton Brewery.
Absolutely fabulous day, the legion is really a hidden gem, staff were very friendly and organised and really looked after you. We had our wedding reception their and helped make the whole day magical. Thank you to all at the legion, Chris and Angela.

Bluefunk is a great music venue held regularly in The Poynton British Legion club. Run by the ever enthusiastic Gary who regularly manages to book excellent musicians. Entrance is very reasonably priced. There's also a bar in the concert room selling excellent cask beer at pub prices. Highly recommended to lovers of live music. Mike
