It’s a good place to start your night out. There is always a good vibe. The drinks are typically cheaper than cocktail bars in Poulton and a good range of lagers and beers for those that like their ales on the tap. 
Families are welcome and children’s menu available.

A nice spacious pub in the Weatherspoons style. As with most Weatherspoons, there are a vast selection of lagers and craft beers and a substantial menu offering pub favourites and quick bites. The pub itself has a semi-rustic look and typically there is no music in the background. I have only been in for Sunday lunch, etc... but can imagine it'd get quite busy on Fridays and Saturdays. All in all, it serves it's function as both a boozer and a restaurant quite well.

I really liked this pub. It was light and spacious and there was even an open fire. They also have a bottomless tea and coffee offer.

We arrived about 12 for lunch and most of the free tables needed clearing. We ordered and cleared the used plates and glasses to another table. The table was wiped (with apologies) when our food arrived. I had 5 bean jacket. I used the salad dressing on the potato as it was rather dry ( there seems to be less than there used to be) When someone came and asked if it was all ok I said that it would have been nice to have some butter (I had finished by then) He said that we should have been given some and apologized. The deli deal is very good value, the meal was just spoilt on this occasion when there didn't seem to be enough staff on.

Pse don't treat this as a complaint - the concept, pricing and environment are good. used the pub twice this week for breakfast. on the first occasion - bacon balm and coffee - good - although both could have been hotter. 2nd day - porridge and blueberries  - sadly not even half cooked - took it back for a bit of extra cooking and a little more milk and kitchen just stirred in more milk - it was even cooler and just as uncooked????? pse improve as the type of porridge is very good and deserves better treatment.
