First visit. Delicious traditional beef lunch followed by raspberry/chocolate brioche pudding with loads of cream. Good selection of beers. Only comment is just a few more veg would have been nice. Great value and good food. Will definitely revisit.

First visit, and I won't be returning. First of all, it's too cramped inside. There was a draft which was horrible. Order drinks, I had a J2O Apple and Mango, the dumb staff member brought Apple and Raspberry! Ordered food, we got way overcharged at the end. Had to wait just over an hour for food. Staff are friendly ish but are rushed all the time. Some blokes also came in just after us, they had had their deserts before we got our mains! We sat under this pipe, which was dripping wet and leaking onto the table. I ordered fish chips and peas, and got the peas and chips SEPERATE, not on the plate. Lime with cod, why? Service is also quite poor, had to wait 40 minutes to request the bill from when we finished eating. Pretty much, get a bigger kitchen, friendlier staff, fix the condensated pipework and reduce the chairs so that we can actually get around easily. And stop overcharging for stuff which we didn't order! Oh and a little addition, don't come here if you have a wheelchair/pushchair as you won't be able to get around.

A nice country pub offering a warm and friendly atmosphere. The bar area i found rather cramped as most of the establishment is taken up with the restaurant and the food side of the business.

Went with my husband lunchtime on 4th Jan. Quite cold, no fires lit. Coffee machine broke, they would have to put the kettle on! I had pate which was fine. My husband had prawn and salmon salad starter. Salmon very pale and sloppy, prawns just defrosted in warm water so tasteless and rubbery. He ate some but had to leave the rest. He was ill later in the day. Will not visit again.
