This is a real get-away location, truly rural, with uninterrupted views of the long stretches of sandy coastline. Designed in the same shabby chic style that has become THE PIG’s signature, it will feature a greenhouse restaurant, a private room for dinner parties, 23 bedrooms and two treatment rooms.

We had been before and enjoyed our visit but unfortunately this time wasn't quite up to scratch. Felt like we'd had a very light meal at a heavy price. Admittedly we had forgotten to order the sides separately and had to ask for more bread. Just ended up with a plate of plaice with a few greens and weirdly flavoured pickled seaweed sprinkled on top. Good for the waistline maybe. It is clear very popular and was packed. It is set in a stunning location and the staff were polite.

We gathered in Studland for a surprise birthday lunch for the patriarch of the family. We'd heard lots of great things about The Pig and have to say that all were well-founded. A fabulous location matched with stunning food, great service and all in a very comfortable restaurant environment. All the necessary ingredients you need to have a great afternoon. After lunch enjoy exploring the grounds and the walled garden which supplies much of the fresh ingredients used in the kitchen. The very obliging staff also helped to make the event a huge success. In short, we'd happily recommend The Pig to anyone who'll listen, and we'll definitely be back!

We'd been meaning to get our legs under the table here for ages, so with a great excuse, a birthday - off we went. We weren't disappointed. The food was as expected, and definitely on a pat with my favourite local(ish) restaurant, Rick Steins. I have to say, I'm very biased towards Rick's, so I guess I'd always say his was better - but for different reasons. The setting of the Pig is stunning and has more to offer with regard to an after dinner wander, and it makes perfect sense to take advantage of the grounds. They grow and make use of all their own herbs, and there's animals like sheep and of course, pigs too so it's a nice thing to see all the behind the scenes stuff - expect the food to be awesome, and the rest will naturally follow. We will definitely be back in the Summer.. 😊

The food was fantastic. Great flavour combinations, but still simplistic. The setting if fantastic and the service was of a very high quality

Very pricy and everything is an extra small portions too. Food and service are good and setting is beautiful.
